CHARLES LEANDRE MUSEUM
The museum presents works by Charles-Léandre, and many objects donated by notables from Domfront are also on display.
More than a museum, the Charles-Léandre space is first and foremost a cabinet of curiosities installed in the premises of the town hall. Dedicated to the artist who was born in Champsecret (near Domfront) in 1862 and died in Montmartre in 1934, you will find here some of his works: pastels, charcoal drawings, lithographs. Numerous objects, donated by notables from Domfront, are also presented: some were brought back from trips abroad. Entirely free of charge, it is open on Fridays during the summer season, and group visits are possible.
