MUSEO REGIONAL HUASTECO JOAQUÍN MEADE
Museum exhibiting archaeological pieces, ceramics and other objects related to the huasteca culture and the history of Ciudad Valles.
Inaugurated in 1978 at the instigation of a local teacher, this private museum offers a glimpse into huasteca culture, through the display of archaeological finds, ceramic objects, musical instruments and jewelry made from shells. In all, some 10,000 relics trace the history of the region from 600 BC to the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century. Ask at reception for guided tours.
