It is the basic place to go to visit the volcano or its surroundings. The huts offer basic comfort. The terrace of the restaurant offers a plunging view on the ruins and one sees the volcano in the distance. When you get off the bus along the access road to the village from Uruapan, guides armed with horses will surely court you to go for another ride, but it is still better to get here first (on foot, by taxi or even by horse).
