Located on the side of the main road, a huge concrete watertower was severed at the base by an explosion caused by the LTTE tigers in January 2009. The place has become a must-see in Kilinochchi. It is true that seeing this giant on the ground and reading the memorial plaques does not leave one unmoved. A boundary wall and a small souvenir shop, run by the army, offering pens, caps, woven baskets and postcards, were created in 2010 to give the site more scope.
