Some facilities for children give a playful aspect to the green spaces of this small park between the library and the court of justice. After being completely destroyed during the civil war, several million rupees were needed for its reopening in 2011. In 2014, another park was opened at the corner of Old Park Road and Kandy-Jaffna Road: Tahrun Children's Park.
