CHAPEL OF THE LITTLE SAINT-CENERI
Go there and contact
This chapel was built in the century in the middle of a vast pasture near the river.
Built in the 15th century in the middle of a vast pasture, where Saint Céneri had established his hermitage in the 7th century, this chapel was once a place of pilgrimage frequented, above all, by young girls wishing to marry and give birth. Legend has it that by lying down on the stone used as the saint’s bed, their wish would be granted. The Gothic-style building features a magnificent chestnut roof structure. The stained glass windows are the work of the Van Hollebeke workshop in Alençon.
