Canefield (DCF) is one of Dominica's two airports, located 5 km north of the capital Roseau (about 15 minutes by car), on the island's west coast. This small airport with its 945-meter runway is served by private flights and a few Caribbean airlines. Most commercial flights go to Douglas-Charles (DOM), the second airport, formerly Melville Hall, in the northeast of the island. A new international airport is currently under construction near Douglas-Charles and is due to open in 2027.
