THE DOMINICA MUSEUM
Museum in a 2-storey colonial building, featuring photographic collections and permanent exhibitions.
This museum is a small orange building constructed in 1810. The building, in typical island colors, was constructed during the colonial era. Lennox Honychurch, the island's most famous historian, played a major role in building up the archives for the museum's permanent exhibits, which today serve as a reference point for Dominican life. On the two floors that make up this building, you'll also discover collections of photographs, and be able to follow the chronology of the island thanks to recovered objects.
