THE ATLANTIS HISTORIC INN * * * *
The first hotel on the East Coast to retain its old-world charm, offering large rooms and suites for a king's night's sleep
Historic indeed, the Atlantis is one of the first hotels on the East Coast, born shortly after the railroad that crossed the island opened to passengers in the 19th century. It has retained its old-world charm, with its old manor house feel and antique furniture. The rooms are large, almost suites, and promise a king's night's sleep in their huge four-poster beds, lulled by the sound of the waves. Madly romantic! The hotel restaurant is excellent, but you can also prepare your own meals in the communal kitchen. Attentive service without obsequiousness.
