SOUP BOWL
This is THE spot for surfers and bodyboarders. The "soup bowl" waves (the waves breaking on this spot form a sort of bowl filled with bubbling soup) have attracted the greatest surfers, and it's one of champion Kelly Slater's favorites. The consistency of the waves and the breaks have a lot to do with it. Like to push your limits? Come in winter, between November and May, when the northeasterly swells produce rolling straights. Less experienced surfers can improve their skills in the morning (less windy) or at low tide.
