Just a few minutes' walk from Bathsheba, you'll find this new wooden bridge overlooking Joe's River, one of Barbados' 4 major rivers. Built on the ruins of the old railroad bridge, it offers not only a great view of the gorge where the river flows, but also of the ocean below. The bridge is part of the Great Trail Hike, which follows the course of the old railroad linking Bridgetown to Belleplaine, and the Barbados Trailways Project, which aims to transform this line into a walking and cycling trail.
