The panoramic view over one of the most dazzling bays in Mahé is the major asset of this intimate balcony hotel. Jacques Devoud, its cordial owner, has planted his chalets on the hillside. Spacious (from 65 to 120 m2) and equipped with a panoramic terrace, the 32 rooms and villas are nicely furnished and well equipped. The pretty swimming pool, the highest in Mahé, and its whirlpool have been built under a rock next to a beautiful straw huts. A spa is also available. As for the beach at Baie Lazare, just cross the road.

4 jours à l'hôtel valmer..
Parfait !
It's located on a higher spot, so you don't have direct excess to a beach. But on the other hand, you have a amazing view on the ocean and the whole bay.
If you have any disabilities according to your abilities to walk, you should take another hotel, otherwise you will get problems.
Enough of the general stuff!
This hotel is great, you have access to a nice spa, with great treatments and a little gym. Where you can have small workouts on weights and cardio trainings.
The pool area is well maintained and provides places to relax. During our stay, there was always a empty place left, so no need to worry about that. The pool is built as an infinity pool, which makes the whole thing perfect for me.
The rooms are in good shape, not new anymore, what is visible in the bathroom, but in the end it's nothing to complain about.
The bed was comfy and pretty large.
The food was very good, the breakfast offers a wide range of options for every taste.
We didn't had lunch in the hotel, but what I saw one day, looked great, too.
The dinner has different themes, Asian, European, Creol, BBQ and so on.
The chief of the kitchen is a very cool guy, who comes around and asks the guest, if they are happy or need something to change.
The waiters are also very friendly and professional, they have an eye on you, without disturbing you.
The drinks are tasty, but keep in mind, that especially drinks are not cheap.
The next beach is a 5min walk away and provides a good spot to go into the sea. Mostly it's pretty wavey, so have an eye on your kids and even adults should be aware of the strong current at the area.
For relaxed swimming you should go to other spots like Anse Royale.
I would recommend you to rent a car to explore the rest of Mahé.
All in all - I highly recommend the Valmer Resort.
