THE FORGE
In the same name, in the middle of nature and near a romantic pond, this forge operated the iron ore of Ferrière-Bochard, the wood came from the forest of the Impatives, the water of the Sarthon provided energy. This remarkable industrial site shows the vestiges of the sixteenth century forges. The circular blast furnace dates back to 1840. Several buildings still standing date from that time. The Alençon/Pre-en-pail railway was nearby. Visit by appointment of this private domain and heritage days. In the immediate vicinity, Domaine de la Touche is rehabilitated in a great place for seminars, seminars and private events.
