SAINT JUDE'S HOSPITAL

St Jude Hospital is located in Banse, Saint Lucia. Founded in 1966 by Mother Irma and the Sisters of the Mother of Sorrows, the hospital was originally a charitable institution offering free health care. Since then, it has evolved into a leading healthcare facility, offering quality services to the people of Saint Lucia. In 2009, the hospital was ravaged by fire, resulting in its evacuation to George Odlum Stadium, where it remains today. Previously available services have been restored and improved. The government of Saint Lucia took the decision to completely renovate the old hospital in order to restore the capacity of the healthcare system in the southern half of the island. Renovation work is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2015. St Jude Hospital is committed to providing quality, accessible and patient-centered healthcare, in partnership with international medical institutions and volunteers. Donations of medical supplies, medicines and equipment can be made to support the hospital.
