THE HOUSE OF THE WELCHE COUNTRY
Charming museum fitted out in a presbytery where you can discover a media library, a wood workshop, a cheese cellar
Housed in a presbytery where the parish priests of Fréland lived from the 16th to the 18th century, this charming museum bears witness to the habits and customs of a canton which, unlike the rest of Alsace, speaks Welche (a Romance language) and observes traditions similar to those of the Vosges mountains. To discover in particular: a media library, a wood workshop, a cheese cellar, a distillery, a wood oven and an original escape game . Outside, the museum is immediately recognizable thanks to its large water wheel from an old French mill.
