It is Shetland's main historical and captivating attraction. Man settled here over 4,000 years ago. Generations have come and gone, improving the dwellings. An Iron Age village, a broch, a Pictish village and a Norse village are intertwined here, as well as the remains of a 15th century mansion built by Patrick Stuart. The visit begins at the Visitors Centre and continues in the heart of the site, which can be explored freely with an audio-guide.
