CHEZ SOPHEA
This small, ordinary restaurant is facing the old town of Angkor. It was the first restaurant to open on Angkor Park in 1993. Matthieu offers culinary specialities from Cambodia and France. Charcoal grill (meat or fish) but also home recipes: soup of fish, duck conflict, duck rillettes, foie gras, chocolate cream, yogurt. And it should be added that it has a wide choice of French wines. For a Khmer menu, order at least one day in advance because you will need to buy fresh products. Matthew, a long guide from French national museums, came to Cambodia with a mission to photograph the temples. Now he knows perfectly the site of Angkor. Not to mention that it is an inexhaustible mine on this country, its temples, its personalities and its small people. A living and alive book. Please note that the access road to the temples is always open. Only the visit of the temples themselves is interrupted at sunset.
