Probably built in the 15th century, this stone bridge - it is the translation of Spean Thma - was built with various elements from other temples. It is made up of 14 corbelled arches, very tightly joined to each other. This type of architecture is found on many former Khmer imperial roads. The largest, with 25 arches, is on the road from Siem Réap to Kompong Thom (the Spean Praptos). The course of the river that was once spanned by this bridge has subsequently taken on another bed.
