TA KEO
Mountain-temple over 27 m high with 5 staggered towers, a work of Jayavarman V dedicated to the god Shiva
Another representation of Mount Meru, this temple-mountain, more than 27 m high, is the work of Jayavarman V. The complex should have been completed in the early 11th century, but the rise to power of Sūryavarman I in the year 1010 interrupted the work for good. This is why it has this unfinished look, due to the lack of exterior decorations. Ta meaning ancient, it is therefore necessary to hear "Ancestor Keo". This temple is dedicated to the god Shiva. Like Pre Rup, it has five towers arranged in a staggered pattern, the highest being in the center and it is surrounded by a moat.
