CAMPING
Salabya beach is particularly popular with Trinidadians for camping, especially during Carnival. The main reason for this is that you can pitch your tent in the shade of coconut and palm trees (be careful not to stand under a coconut!) and benefit from a source of drinking water. Rustic but efficient! It goes without saying that you should collect your garbage when you leave. Swimming here is dangerous and unsupervised. Another beach adopted by even rootsier campers (without water) is Patience Bay, just before Salabya.
