On Missolonghi's main gourmet pedestrian street, this fish restaurant has been run by the Dimitroukas/Δημητρούκας family since 1975. On the white tablecloths of the pleasant dining room are served lagoon specialties: fried or steamed havara (a kind of mussel called "bearded modiole" in French), grilled eel, alipasta (anchovy in salt), ligda (young sea bream) served almost raw... Also on the menu: octopus, mussels, salads, grilled meats, homemade pitas and aniseed-flavored tsipouro produced by the owners.
