ST.-COLOMAN-KIRCHE
Here is a pretty baroque church, curiously posed in the middle of nowhere, and with a pretty alpine decor.
Here is a pretty little church, curiously placed in the middle of nowhere. From the outside, it is rather sober, but its interior is a beautiful baroque surprise.
Saint Coloman (or Colman) was an Irish pilgrim who lived around the year 1000. According to local tradition, on his pilgrimage to Jerusalem, he stopped at the site of today's Coloman Church in Schwangau, before being tortured and hanged in Stockerau near Vienna. Saint Coloman is especially venerated as the patron saint of human and livestock diseases.
