MUSEUM DES BAYRISCHEN KÖNIGE
The Bavarian Kings' Museum, opened in 2011, provides an overview of the history of the Wittelsbach family from its origins to the present day.
Located a few metres from the wonderful Alpsee, the Museum of the Kings of Bavaria, opened in 2011, gives an overview of the history of the House of Wittelsbach from its origins to the present day, with the focus on the rulers from 1806 onwards, when Bavaria was elevated to a kingdom. The museum is rather expensive for the small number of rare objects on display, including an ermine coat of Ludwig II and a gold dinner service with scenes from the Nibelungen.
