The Martinikerk, a Gothic-style church in Sneek, with a beautiful organ and a single tower.
The Martinikerk, named after Martin, the town's patron saint, dates back to the 15th century, and from that distant period it has retained a single tower, whereas until 1681 it had three. Gothic in style, its origins date back to the 11th century. The beautiful 1711 organ was renovated in the 1980s and enjoys a solid reputation. Over the centuries, the church has been replaced, enlarged, adapted, embellished and restored on several occasions.
