This multi-purpose cultural center is housed in the famous Glaspaleis, a modernist building designed by architect Frits Peutz in the 1930s. This "glass palace" takes its name from its impressive height and generous use of windows, giving it a unique, luminous appearance. SCHUNCK houses a museum of modern and contemporary art, an architecture institute, a public library and a music and dance school. The museum presents temporary exhibitions and educational programs.
