The museum's archaeological collection (over 80,000 objects, but 6,000 on display) comes from four different regions: The Netherlands, Egypt, the Near East and the classical world (Rome and Greece). Its collections are regularly enriched by excavations carried out at Saqqarah in Egypt and Tell Sabi Abyad in Syria. You'll discover mummies, statuettes, various decorative objects, sculptures and more. In the Taffeh Hall, the Taffeh Temple of Isis, donated by the Egyptian state to the Netherlands, has been reconstructed. The museum also houses an inner courtyard.
