ABURI BOTANICAL GARDEN
A remarkable botanical garden to discover various species of trees and plants from the five continents in Aburi, worth a visit.
This airy botanical garden is one of the region's major attractions. Founded in 1890 by an English botanist, the park offers an attractive circuit for a relatively short walk, during which visitors discover tree and plant species from all five continents, each with a sign indicating its name. Then take a moment to bask on the lawn: the freshness of the trees and the mountain is a delight. Note the incongruous presence of the remains of a British army helicopter!
