Digicel is probably the most common operator in Papua New Guinea. The ideal is to buy a prepaid SIM card at the airport as soon as you arrive, then to buy a data plan in order to benefit from the 3G network. You can then top up your credit very easily by buying Digicel Top up cards, which are literally everywhere in the country: at shops, along the road, in hotels, etc. Once the Top up codes have been validated, you can spend your credit by calling *777#. To check your credit, call *120#.
