VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT TRUST

This NGO, whose name means in French «Group for Village Development», deals with eco-tourism, sustainable development and environment around Eia. As its main aim is to prevent deforestation, the organization has very quickly interested in tourism as a financial alternative to the sale of wood for villagers. It therefore helps villages equip themselves with guesthouses, set up tourist activities and learn to preserve their environment. In particular, it helped coastal villages east of Eia, where turtles come from. The NGO can therefore organize a trip there or at least contact the officials in each village.
