KUMUL LODGE
At a time in Hagen, shortly after the border with Enga province, this beautiful architecture is managed by a local community that wanted to earn some money while preserving its forest.
The surrounding villages have therefore met, defined a territory where the exploitation of the forest and hunting would be prohibited, and invite tourists to visit it. There are different species of paradisiers and many other birds. Located at more than 2 000 m above sea level, the lodge, very pleasant, lies in the heart of an altitude rain forest (it is so raining and it is really cold at night). From this lodge, you can also visit the villages of the surrounding area, attend traditional dances or walk to rivers and waterfalls. However, the site is most famous for its bird watching circuits, and bird enthusiasts can spend a week by varying habitat types and altitudes to observe the most species.
