The historic hotel of Rabaul, which survived so many disasters, still proudly stands in the middle of the ruins. Staying at night will remain a unique experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff, if not efficient, is very friendly and offer its assistance for excursions around Rabaul. The best choice in the city (at last, rather eccentric from the center and market square), especially as the restaurant serves delicious Chinese cuisine.
