NUSA ISLAND RETREAT
Just magic! Opened in 1997 by a family from New Britain, this hotel welcomes you in this small paradise, the Nusa Islands. These two islands are just opposite Kavieng, 5 minutes from dinghy. On the smallest beach, Shaun and Shannon have built several bungalows over the years over the sea. Today, with their twelve bedrooms, this resort has turned into a small village. The comfort is rudimentary, but enough with fans inside and hammocks on the balcony. The restaurant serves à la carte à la carte menu, and offers an excellent buffet in the evening, all cooked with fresh produce. On the east coast of the island there are several families, which organize a small craft market every day with beautiful jewelry, fabrics, bilums, etc. You can also cross the short channel between the two islands, swimming for the most sporty, and discover the lush jungle of Nusa Lavu, at the end of which you will find a geyyah to be created by the tide and Japanese DCA cannons. Kurt and Lucie, who are looking after the day-to-day business of the hotel, will be happy to organize all sorts of activities, primarily surfing, which they have specialized in. At the time of the aperitif, the entire hotel meets around the bar, with the hotel's home parrots, Izzy and Nelly.
