THE MUSHROOM CAP
Kennett Square is the town of the mushroom (75% of the American production is manufactured there), it was necessary to devote it a small museum. It's done thanks to Kathy Lafferty, a passion, who brought together in his store information, objects and photos related to the industry and culture of the mushroom through decades. It teaches that the technique to grow the mushrooms comes from a Parisian, Tournefort, in 1707, who made them grow in the cellars. Kathy has also developed a range of mushroom-based products: block, pasta sauce (according to a recipe from his grandmother) and especially her famous snackshrooms (scented dried mushrooms or spices eaten like chips).
