Built between 1854 and 1857, it is one of the oldest lighthouses in the country and the highest in the state of New Jersey. It is no longer functional since 1933. After 228 steps to climb, the view on Atlantic City is impregnable. Next to the lighthouse, the reproduction of the guard house houses a small museum on the maritime history of the region.
