Inaugurated in 1948, the Glengarry games are world-class. The village of Maxville is transformed into a very competitive town where giants, colossal throwers of heavy cabers (poles), rub shoulders with agile dancers with lightning-fast legs. Dozens of orchestras compete in the hope of winning the North American Pipe Band Championships. Under the bewitching atmosphere of Celtic music, troops are striving to win a super coveted cup. Wherever scotch and tartans are enjoyed, people dream of these trophies!
