KUND
There are many Delhiites to hide here on the weekend, near this old reservoir (kund) or around the lake. Surajkund supports the "pause" key of their daily life. Far from the bustle of the city, they enjoy the tranquillity of the places for a walk through the small rocky hills and shallow ravines. The surrounding wood houses a few wild tenants, including monkeys and many peacocks with shimmering colours. To the south of the kund flows the natural source Siddhakund, the object of a simple digestive walk. The most adventurous are climbing on the basalt rocks surrounding the kund.
If temperatures allow, you can enjoy the octagonal swimming pool of the Rajhans Hotel, which is open to non-residents for 400 Rs the day.
