LAC DE RABODANGES
A large artificial lake created by the construction of the dam, offering water-based leisure activities as well as hiking and mountain biking in the surrounding area.
The construction of the dam in 1959 enabled the emergence of this environmentally-friendly artificial lake. The lake, 6 km long and crossed by a bridge, is a delight for canoeists and water-skiers. Its surroundings are particularly popular with families. You can even swim here in summer: supervised bathing is free. Bordered by pretty little villages such as Rotours and Gorges de Saint-Aubert, accessible via the Vieux Saint-Aubert trail, Putanges is also ideal for walks and hikes.
