A former ice age basin with small cafeterias offering a green getaway.
Halfway between Biella and Ivrea, Lake Viverone is an ideal spot for a green getaway. Framed by the first peaks of the Alps, this is an ancient glacial basin. Several remains of ancient Bronze Age villages have been found here since investigations began in the 1960s, but today Viverone is above all a destination appreciated for its landscape and sporting attractions. Along the banks of the river, you'll find small "guinguettes" where you can enjoy a drink while contemplating the scenery.
