Important center of spirituality in Romanesque and Gothic art with a terrace with a beautiful view
A landmark of the Piedmont region, this incredible abbey perched at an altitude of 962 m is well worth the uphill climb. Founded at the end of the 10th century, it was an important center of spirituality and a crossroads of cultural exchange until the 14th century. Today's basilica reflects the gradual transformation of Romanesque art into Gothic. Admire the 11th-century choir, the beautiful frescoes, the oratories, the guesthouse that once welcomed pilgrims and the terrace with its magnificent views.

La vue sur le Val Susa est très bel. Lorsque le temps le permet, on aperçoit Turin au loin.
Il faut absolument faire une promenade le long du lac d'Avigliana lorsque l'on descend.
