DUOMO OF SALUZZO
Cathedral with a magnificent baroque altar decorated with wooden sculptures.
In late Gothic style, the cathedral rises outside the ramparts. On the imposing brick facade three portals open: the central portal covered by a frescoed lunette depicting the Assumption of the Virgin framed by two statues of St. Peter and St. Paul, and the two side portals with lunettes depicting the two patron saints of the city, San Chiaffredo and San Costanzo. Inside, a grandiose Baroque altar is decorated with a group of eleven wooden sculptures, while from the vault hangs a 14th century crucifix.
