Buildings from the 15th to the 17th century offering a ticket to visit the Tower
To walk along this picturesque path is to take a trip back in time. The Salita al Castello links the piazzetta San Giovanni to the Castiglia. Buildings dating from the 15th to 17th centuries accompany the ascent: the 15th-century Palazzo delle Arti Liberali, decorated in barely visible grisaille, the Palazzo Comunale, which retains its arcaded facade dating from 1462, and finally the Torre Civica, decorated with a red brick frieze (1601). A ticket to the Tower also includes a visit to the Pinacoteca Matteo Olivero, dedicated to this Italian Divisionist painter.
