MUSEO-GIARDINO DELLA CIVILTÀ DELLA SETA
Museum making the fortune of the city thanks to the production and work of silk.
The museum, housed in the former convent of the Poor Clares, was created in 2004 by volunteers who gathered together as many objects and documents as possible relating to the history of silk production and processing in Racconigi. From a craft in the 15th century to a veritable industry in the 19th, silk made the town's fortune. You'll see how silkworms are fed and raised to produce the precious cocoons that give the delicate silk thread.
