CIVIC MUSEUM
Museum with the most important collection of typographic machines and instruments in Italy
This unique museum, housed in the former Convent of the Orphans and inaugurated in 2001, houses the most important collection of typographic machines and instruments in Italy. Witness to the cultural dynamism that characterized Mondovi during the Renaissance, the book De Institutiones Confessorum di Sant'Antonino was printed in the city in 1472 by the Antwerp-born typographer Antonio de Mattia. It was the first printing of the time in Piedmont.
