MUSEO ARCHEOLOGICO D'ACQUI TERME
Archaeological museum presenting objects from the Roman city and temporary exhibitions
Since 1967, the museum has been housed in the former castle of the Palaeologus family, and features not only Roman artefacts (sarcophagi, marble sculptures, amphorae, etc.) unearthed during excavations, but also prehistoric relics (blades, spears, etc.) found in the area, and objects from the Middle Ages and Renaissance, notably ceramics. These three themes occupy 7 different, well-designed rooms. Regular temporary exhibitions.
