Très bel hôtel non loin d une des seules plages de la côte où l on peut se baigner sans danger. Bungalows vastes avec vue sur l Océan, service attentif. Cuisine franco italienne de qualité, prix très élevés néanmoins.
Location is excellent, secluded, quiet and peaceful. No problem getting there in the dry season. Service was above and beyond. Ana at reception was incredibly hospitable. Marianna was warm and welcoming. The premises was well cared for and the bungalows were exquisite, spacious, and naturesque. The food was amazing as well. Our server Roberto and the bar tender Clay were friendly and professional. I’d come back in a heart beat!
Love this place! Beautiful grounds and well kept vegetation with wildlife around. Staff was great and provided invaluable advice on the area and stop-off points to/from. We ate dinner at the lovely restaurant nearly every night because the food/setting was so nice and because it’s a pain to drive on the roads at night. If you want a calm, lower key place, then this is the hotel for you. Awesome to hear the howler monkeys screeching and see the coatis! Only a few minor negatives - the amount quoted at the outset/booking differed slightly, presumably because of FX rate variation, but odd since we were quoted in USD and paid in the end in USD - should be clarified at outset or fixed; we were there in high season, but at times it seemed a little thinly staffed during our stay, as folks seemed stretched; our room had a step down that was a little dangerous, so beware. Overall, very pleased and would return!
The place is wonderful. A really cool hideaway a bit up the hill. Quiet, clean, great food and great service. The beaches in this area are fairly deserted so when one is staying here it’s nice to kick back and relax at the pool. Jorge, my compliments for the kind and excellent service.
The place has a new owner who is originally from Belgium. It was nice to meet you Olivier. Good luck with your real estate venture there!
There’s quite a bit of wildlife to be spotted whilst staying there. For the first time in my life I saw Caoti. So sweet!
Nice rooms, the best bed we stayed in in 2,5 weeks and dinner was wonderful and tasty.
This hotel is a hidden gem. The staff is amazing (thank you, owner Rolf for your personal attention as well as your friendly, genuine and calm demeanour, Roberto the afternoon/evening staff member who is friendly and kind, tends bar, brings towels and drinks poolside and takes care of you at dinner in the restaurant and finally Luigi the morning staff member who serves breakfast).
The infinity pool looks out over the ocean in the distance as well as beautiful sunsets. The rooms are in bungalows, each nestled in the jungle with private views from the back deck. Indeed, I am writing this while sitting in a rocking chair, smelling the sweet scent of nature and watching howler monkeys casually traverse the tree tops. The bathroom door opens to a spacious and clean room with a toilet and sink which is open to the outside…but the best part is the shower which, while completely private, makes you feel like you are showering outside in nature. The back deck is also spacious with an overhead ceiling fan as well as two comfortable wooden chairs and two wooden/leather rocking chairs. They are so comfortable I want to bring them home with me!
The hotel currently only serves breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a large spread with coffee, yogurt and granola, fresh fruit, fresh bread, eggs done as requested with bacon or ham as well as the traditional Costa Rican rice and beans. The dinner menu is small and changes every night but each curated dish is sure to please the palate.
If you are looking for a place to party, please don’t come here. But if you are looking for peace and tranquility, the ability to commune with nature, beautiful rustic surroundings and staff that are so attentive they all learn your name, then please do come here. It is well worth the drive.
Schöne Anlage mit Pool und Sicht auf den Pazifik, gutes Essen, sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Gastgeber. Anlage liegt in der Nähe des Flughafens Liberia
