The wealth of Andros - in every sense of the word - is not only due to its shipowners. The island also cultivates the richness of its land, along its paths. Some 40 volunteers from the Andros Routes association have revived a network of old paths, about 200 km long. Since 2012, they have taken the time to clean, mark and certify the old paths that linked villages before the advent of paved roads. Volunteers are responsible for specific paths, which they inspect several times a year.
