AMORGION DISTILLERY

This distillery, located at the entrance to the port of Katapola, produces a bewildering variety of local wines and spirits, some of which are unique to Amorgos. For example, tsipuro and raki are distilled here, and are known throughout the Cyclades archipelago and as far away as mainland Greece. It's also an opportunity to admire the four large fermentation vats and, of course, the magnificent metal still with its eminently steampunk charm. A must-see for lovers of Greek-style aperitifs and digestifs!
