Since 2023, the Paradosiako Piato tis Lefkosias tavern has moved from the port to the foot of the citadel, in Paleo Horio. Today, it's the only tavern in the old village, where you can enjoy traditional dishes prepared over a wood fire. It's one of Halki's legendary restaurants, and we're delighted to discover it in this enchanting new location. We continue to rave about the meats cooked to perfection, including kid, the extra-fresh garden vegetables, and the hand-prepared makarouns .

Μια νέα προσθήκη στο μικρό αριθμό εστιατορίων της Χάλκης, και το μοναδικό εκτός του βασικού οικισμού του νησιού, μέσα στο εγκαταλελειμένο οικισμό του «Χωριού». Συγκεκριμένα χειροποίητα και καλοφτιαγμένα πιάτα από τους φιλικούς και εξυπηρετικούς ιδιοκτήτες. Το σκηνικό σχεδόν απόκοσμο αλλά ενδιαφέρον. Για την άνοδο προτιμήστε το ταξί αλλά η κάθοδος προς την Χαλκη μπορεί να γίνει και με τα πόδια (35 λεπτά).

How to describe this feeling... I've had maybe years to try something so authentic and traditional as the food in this place. So simple recipes but yet so amazing, it's like your grandma invited you to cook your favorite dish that you had long forgotten. The place it's not only the best tavern in Chalki, but maybe one of the best in the whole country. The only downside is that (if you don't have a car or moto) there is only one taxi that goes over there, so during high season you have to call and book a seat. You can also walk your way from the port but it's a 3 km uphill road. But at the end your effort will be rewarded. Definitely try the goat, tirokafteri and the handmade makarounes. Don't skip it, you won't regret it.

A 5-star experience!! Extraordinary food, service, scenery and atmosphere! Hospitable and warm owners! A must try when visit Chalki. Definitely try the traditional handmade spaghetti (παραδοσιακά χειροποίητα μακαρούνια) of Chalki's. The best dish ever!

Δυο αδέρφια ο Μιχάλης και η Καθολική με την ωραία τους ενέργεια αισθάνεσαι πως σε βάζουν στο σπιτικό τους (συγκεκριμένα στη βεράντα τους). Το φαγητό τους μια ευχάριστη έκπληξη, η πατάτα τους η πιο ωραία που έχουμε φάει, το κατσίκι τους λουκούμι, η φρέσκια μακαρουνα τους, η Χάλκικη όπως την λένε πανδαισία. Φρέσκα προϊόντα από το περιβόλι
