VOLCANOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Volcanological museum dedicated to the volcano of Nissiros and its geological features.
Opened in 2008 in Nikia's former school, this museum is located at the entrance to the village that dominates the crater. We learn how the Nissiros volcano was formed and its geological specificities. Explanations in English make it easier to understand. Children will particularly appreciate this interesting visit. Tourist coaches on day trips disembark from around 11am, then regularly throughout the day, so for a quiet visit, come to the opening: you will be alone to enjoy the place.
