THEATER AND ACROPOLIS

Sanctuary housing a theater, a temple and a multitude of gates with walls
Beyond the sanctuary of Dionysus, a path climbs up to the acoustically perfect theater of the Hellenistic period. Under restoration, you can see it from the back of the site. Backed by a pine forest, it stands facing the sea, in a magnificent setting. The path continues to the upper city: you will see the remains of the Genoese citadel and the sanctuary of Apollo Pythian (4th century BC), then the ruins of a temple dedicated to Athena (5th century BC) and a small sanctuary of Pan. The view below is splendid.
